Role Type:     Full time

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year + annual bonus

Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

Summary:

The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is a key member of Osaic’s Financial Reporting team who will play a critical role in the preparation of financial statements for regulatory and compliance purposes. We are looking for a highly motivated professional located in either Scottsdale, AZ or La Vista, NE with good written and verbal communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP who is passionate about delivering quality results and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for Osaic and coordinate supporting documents for disclosures included in the financial statements (e.g., footnotes, MD&A).
  • Prepare annual financial statements for each of Osaic’s broker-dealer subsidiaries and coordinate supporting documents for disclosures included in the financial statements (e.g., footnotes, supplemental schedules).
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to obtain support and prepare/maintain comprehensive documentation to support the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements and disclosures.
  • Interface with external auditors to ensure that support and explanations for all requests are provided.
  • Perform technical accounting research in the review and assessment of accounting and financial reporting implications of new accounting pronouncements or complex transactions.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of internal controls around financial reporting.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting, including the implementation of new or expanding the usage of certain existing financial reporting tools.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in Accounting is required.

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry with SEC reporting and technical US GAAP research and analysis
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment and performing with a high degree of accuracy
  • Self-starter who will anticipate challenges and work proactively to resolve issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with associates at all levels
  • Demonstrates credibility and a willingness to do things the right way

Preferred Requirements:

  • Audit-related experience in a publicly traded environment
  • Experience working with Workiva Wdesk and Workday Financials
  • Prior financial services industry experience preferred (wealth management, investment management, broker-dealer, insurance, banking, specialty finance)
