Salary:         $50,000 - $120,000 per year including Sales Incentive Compensation

Summary:

The Annuity Advisor Consultant (AC), serves as a support partner for assigned sales partners, aiding in the growth of their practice by generating additional sales from transactional business and/or basic tier customers within the salesperson’s territory. The AC provides pre-sale assistance, including case design, product selection, illustrations, and application fulfillment. Additionally, the AC supports the sales activities of the assigned salesperson and serves as a backup for top-tier customers within their territory as needed. Through outbound communications, the AC offers sales ideas, fosters existing relationships of the salesperson, and builds direct relationships with advisors.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.  
  • Life & Health Insurance License  

Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales activities of the assigned salesperson by serving as a backup for top-tier producers within the territory/portfolio as needed
  • Foster relationships with the salesperson’s current producers, financial advisors, and other stakeholders to help them grow their practice and promote the sale of Insurance products
  • Works with paired salesperson to understand the needs of their top producers and financial advisors by forming strong relationships, providing excellent customer service, and regularly communicating to present suitable insurance solutions effectively
  • Establish credibility and build rapport with key stakeholders including the salesperson’s existing producers, back offices, internal counterparts, and carrier/strategic partner resources.
  • Leverage SSA’s and Case Designers to support sales from both the advisors working with the assigned salesperson and those that working with directly
  • Provide pre-sales support to assigned salesperson that includes case design, running illustrations, revisions, summarizing insurance concepts and designs, preparing applications/fulfillment, and creating and sending DocuSign envelopes for electronic signatures in tandem with the sales support team
  • Log all activities (illustrations, calls, meetings, etc.) into Sales Force, and store illustrations according to established protocols
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of current pending cases in the pipeline acting as a liaison to effectively answer case status questions and follow up on outstanding requirements for the entire book of business (sales directly tied to the salesperson and for those tied directly to the AC)
  • Maintain broad knowledge of insurance products, their features, carrier illustration software, marketing resources, sales ideas and be able to explain competitive product landscapes, sales concepts, field underwriting, and present e-solutions
  • Stay current in the competitive marketplace by participating in educational opportunities, attending webinars, and carrier sponsored educational series
  • Analyze in-force policy details and present alternative solutions.

Basic Requirements:

  • Multi-carrier insurance product experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present complex concepts
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with producers/advisors through trust and rapport
  • Demonstrated experience with illustration software (e.g., Winflex, Ensights).
  • High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize workload in a demanding environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce to manage activities, client information and leads

Preferred Requirements:

  • Series 6 and 63
  • Experience in the annuity marketplace* (Fixed, FIA, RILA, MYGA etc)
  • Work towards completion of CLU or ChFC designations
