Role Type:      Full time

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year + annual performance-based bonus

Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

Summary:

The Associate Financial Advisor plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional client experience and supporting the growth of the advisory practice. This position partners closely with Wealth Managers to develop comprehensive financial plans, coordinate client service execution, and drive operational excellence across the client lifecycle. This role is designed as a development pathway toward Financial Advisor responsibilities, offering direct client exposure, technical planning depth, and increasing accountability over time.

Responsibilities:

Client Experience & Relationship Support

  • Partner with Wealth Managers to prepare for client meetings, including agenda development, financial plan updates, portfolio reviews, and customized presentation materials.
  • Participate in client meetings; document key discussion points, decisions, and action items; enter meeting notes into Salesforce within 24 hours.
  • Draft and deliver post-meeting summary communications outlining recommendations and next steps.
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate follow-through.
  • Support ongoing client engagement strategies, including meeting cadence tracking and proactive outreach.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Gather, validate, and maintain accurate client data to support comprehensive financial planning.
  • Update financial planning software and model scenarios across retirement planning, tax strategy, estate planning, executive compensation, cash flow, insurance analysis, and other planning disciplines.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and presentation materials for client delivery.
  • Conduct research on planning strategies, investment solutions, and relevant market developments to support advisor recommendations.

Execution & Workflow Management

  • Initiate and track follow-up tasks including investment changes, contribution and distribution requests, administrative updates, and coordination with custodians and external professionals.
  • Maintain workflow discipline within Salesforce, including opportunity tracking, checklist updates, and documentation standards.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance alignment, and timely execution across all client-related activities.

Business Development Support

  • Assist with prospect meeting preparation and materials.
  • Support relationship-building initiatives with clients, prospective clients, and centers of influence.
  • Participate in internal growth initiatives as appropriate.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or a client service environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional presence.
  • Demonstrated analytical capability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced advisory environment.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, and client-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort learning financial planning and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Foundational understanding of investment and financial planning principles.
  • Progress toward, or intent to pursue, CFP® certification or other relevant designations.
