Summary:

We are seeking an Investment Associate to support Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management, a member of Osaic.  Leveraging the expertise of the Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management (LTAM) Investment Policy Committee, the Investment Associate will be centrally involved on due- diligence and research based on the Investment Policy Committee’s Philosophy.  While fully participating as a member of the research team, the Asset Management Associate will assist in researching top rated mutual funds and ETFs lists, model asset allocation portfolios for different client risk profiles and the latest research and commentaries from both LTAM as well as Ladenburg’s strategic mutual fund partners.

Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000 (plus bonus)

Responsibilities:

    Research

    • Participate in all LTAM investment policy committee meetings to learn investment thesis and be able to reiterate investment themes
    • Review the firm’s strategic asset allocation for adjustments to the portfolios along with the investment policy committee
    • Answer advisors’ questions on market analysis, model rebalancing and top-rated funds list
    • Monitor trading activity into recommended funds
    • Maintain Morningstar reviews of recommended funds and be able to run comparisons within peer groups

    Marketing

    • Performing Research tasks to support datamining, updating and fulfillment of marketing materials and economic thought leadership for advisors.
    • Supporting marketing team in field meeting with advisors with preparing portfolio reviews and RFPs
    • Assist in questions from Advisors on the economy and LTAM portfolios
    • Collect partner content and refresh data in a timely manner
    • Coordinates quarterly calls for advisors and sponsors
    • Monitoring cash flows in partner funds
    • Support marketing campaigns targeted towards advisors to generate interest in LTAM
    • All other duties as assigned

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance from an accredited university is required. 
    • Ability and willingness to obtain FINRA licenses (Series 7, 63, 65/66).

    Basic Requirements:

    • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar capacity
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Dedicated work ethic and strong organizational skills
    • Willingness to work extended hours to meet project deadlines
    • Ability to work independently with little minimal direction
    • Must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient using Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
